When we got in there we spent ages deciding what to choose because they had so many different sweet things! Eventually we both decided on hot chocolate then I had a giant raspberry macaroon and Mum had an amazing-looking coconut meringue (which I didn't manage to get a good picture of, sorry!). I'd never been to this particular cafe before but the food was really nice and I loved the decoration too - all French film posters and knick-knacks - it was like going into a little French oasis in the middle of my town which is probably as far from French culture as you can get. And as a little bit of a francophile, I liked this a lot. I know this wasn't a massive, life-changing event but it's just little things like this that brighten up my week.
My Belgian exchange partner is arriving tonight which is exciting. I might be able to blog about some of the things we get up to this week.
What have you been up to this week?
