It's a really miserable rainy day where I live but it's OK because it's that time of the month again.. Glossybox time! As it's February and therefore the month of love (or if you're me, the month of watching Valentine's Day films alone and being cynical), the box and everything in it is suitably pink and girly.
So, this month I got:
- anatomicals you need a blooming shower! your nose smells rose body cleanser - I've had a body scrub of theirs in my Glossybox before and liked it so I'm happy to get this this month. It smells of roses which is really nice and obviously appropriate for Valentine's Day. Apparently it has jasmine in it as well but I can't actually smell that to be honest. I'm looking forward to using it anyway. This is £5 for a 300ml bottle.
- Sassoon Spray Shine - I'm really lazy when it comes to doing my hair because I'm definitely a makeup girl, but I am looking forward to using this. I've never used this brand before but it seems to be quite a nice one somewhere between high street and high-end. You simply spray this onto your hair to add more shine, and the bonus is that it provides UV protection as well so it would be good to use on holiday or in the summer. This retails at £14.89 (slightly random price, no?) for a 250ml can.
- Miner's Lip Colour Dreamer - again, I've never used this brand before but I think I'd vaguely heard of it before receiving this box yesterday. I actually used this today and although I'm not a huge fan of the colour which is a very frosty pink, it does last a surprisingly long time. Strangely as well, I couldn't find this shade on their website and it doesn't say that it's exclusive to Glossybox or anything.. This costs £3.99 for the full-size product.
- Micabella Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow in 94 Intelligence - this is another brand I've vaguely heard of but never used. This is a mineral eyeshadow in a shimmery brown colour. It also promises to be waterproof although I haven't actually tested that out yet. I would expect very high pigmentation from a mineral shadow but I used this today and wasn't actually that impressed with either the pigmentation or how evenly it applied, even with an eyeshadow primer. This costs £14.95.
- MeMeMe Cosmetics FatCat Lengthening Mascara - I've never used anything from MeMeMe before getting this, just for the reference. This claims to create lots of volume for the lashes and although it has a nice bristle brush, I really wasn't impressed with the actual mascara as I found that I had to apply loads of coats before it made any difference to my blonde eyelashes. This retails at £7.99.
- A heart-shaped lollipop, which unfortunately got crushed in the post. But hey, it's the thought that counts :)
I feel like all I've done is moan about this month's Glossybox which is a shame but it's definitely not the best one I've had. Nice in concept and presentation but overall not that great. I always think of Glossybox as giving you more high-end products to test out but without wishing to be snobbish, I feel like I could've bought any of these myself to try if I'd wanted to.
I've just been out for lunch with my friend Emily which was really nice because I hadn't seen her since before Christmas. Then tonight I plan to spend the entire evening in front of the TV watching Dancing on Ice and the BAFTAs.

Has anyone else had this month's Glossybox? What did you think of it?

Oh my god so cute - I am so desperate for this glossybox!! <3

I don't think you'll be able to get this month's Glossybox if you aren't subscribed yet because they've already come out but you should subscribe! x
DeleteThis looks so much better than the boxes I received when they first started! I stopped after a while because they were just boring! I may have to subscribe again! This box design is gorgeous in itself!
