Justin Bieber's Believe Tour

I expect people will either love or hate this post because people seem either to love or hate Justin Bieber but that's OK. The truth is that when I was a bit younger I used to love him, but then I feel like I outgrew him a little bit. That said, I went to his concert last night in Birmingham and I was actually very impressed and I really enjoyed it.

I went with two friends from my secondary school which was nice because I don't go to school with them any more so I don't see them so much. We went for what my friend Emily referred to as a "pre-Bieber meal" at Nando's in the Bullring, which, if you haven't been, is just amazing. Huge spicy chicken burgers with pretty much any side you can think of. I had a chicken burger followed by an insanely good caramel cheesecake. (Yes, I've failed at Lent. As I wasn't doing it for religious reasons anyway I've decided the best thing to do is just to cut down on sugar rather than cutting it out completely, I'm too addicted to the stuff!)

After our meal we walked to the NIA which is where the concert was, just in time for the first support which was Cody Simpson. I'm going to have a proper listen to his music in the peace of my own home because I feel like I didn't hear much of it due to all the screaming 12-year-olds. I guess I can't exactly complain about screaming 12-year-olds at a Justin Bieber concert, they're basically his target market.. Sorry that the pictures are pretty blurry, by the way, the lighting was pretty rubbish in there.

The next support was Carly Rae Jepsen who, I have to say, I was a little disappointed with. I love a bit of Call Me Maybe and it's fun rocking out to her album in the car but I didn't think she was amazing live, unfortunately.

There was an interval after Carly so we decided to take a few selfies before the Bieb himself came onstage.

The countdown to Bieber..

Justin Bieber finally came on at around 9:20. Past the bedtime of the majority of the audience, no? Emily, Sian and I were grumbling a bit about the ticket prices because they were even more expensive than Beyonce's tickets which is a bit ridiculous (side note: I have tickets to Beyonce! Can't wait!) but it seemed like all of those proceeds went into the technical side of the show because it was definitely a spectacle. Flying, graphics, film, elevating stages, he had everything. He made quite an entrance..

Justin rocking out on the drums..

It was kind of annoying actually because Alison Kaye who picks Justin's One Less Lonely Girl from the audience to be serenaded by him kept walking past us during the concert and ended up picking someone sitting really close to us! It could've been one of us! Here's the very lucky girl they picked:

I was glad that he did all of my favourite of his songs like Beauty and a Beat and As Long As You Love Me, and to bring an end to the amazing night, he sang Baby, naturally. The whole concert was basically just a huge dance party, it was so much fun. I've rediscovered my love for him, it's like I'm a born-again Belieber! Just kidding haha.

Have any of you seen him in concert? Or were you there last night?
