Lime Crime Airborne Unicorn Lipstick

Forgive me for writing quite so many beauty posts.. ideally I want this to be predominantly a lifestyle blog but because of exams I've had no time to do anything interesting with my life that's worth blogging about. Thankfully I've finished my exams now so I can get onto writing some more lifestyle-y posts. Cool.

So anyway, the actual point of this post was to talk about the Lime Crime Airborne Unicorn Lipstick, described as a "medium purple with a neon note" on the Lime Crime website. I know the colour sounds and looks quite scary but honestly, it's pretty wearable for any skin tone I think and I fear wearing bright lipsticks! I'm very fair and it seems to work for me. It's a unique colour, I haven't seen anything like it in any other brand, so I get compliments every time I wear it! I love that you can build this up; if I want to wear it to school I just dab a little bit on and it looks more like a cool-toned pink, but if I'm wearing it in the evening I'll make it look very purple by applying more. Also, I need to rave about the quality of the Lime Crime lipsticks: the colours are very opaque, long lasting and feel really nice to wear and apply. I would say that they are on a par, if not better, than MAC lipsticks, and that's saying something because I love MAC lipsticks. Aside from the colour and the texture and everything, I think it was the packaging and the shade name that won me over. As mentioned in my 20 random facts post, it is well-known to those who know me that I really like unicorns. So when I saw a lipstick with a holographic unicorn on it and the shade name Airborne Unicorn, not buying it wasn't even an option. I got mine for about £14 from Space.NK, except I'm confused now because I looked on their website and they don't seem to sell Lime Crime any more. After a quick Google search I can see that there are online stockists such as Cocktail Cosmetics but I'm not sure where you can buy them in person any more, sorry!

Have any of you tried Lime Crime products?

  1. I think the packagings a little young, like tween? but the colour is absolutely gorgeous, so unique and perfect for summer

    1. I thought that before I saw someone else wearing it but honestly, it's fine and I am terrified of wearing bright lipsticks! Thank you xx
