Marc Jacobs Daisy
Marc Jacobs Daisy has been a cult favourite in the beauty world since its 2007 release, and understandably so. The bottle is absolutely beautiful and of course, it smells really nice too. Last summer I did a week's work experience in Rouen at the French parfumerie Marionnaud, and as a thank you the lovely store manager let me choose three full-sized perfumes to take away with me, so this was one of them. I'd been spraying it on myself every time I went into Boots for years but never actually bought it, so this was a lovely surprise! This has top notes of strawberry, violet leaf and pink grapefruit but it also has elements of jasmine, vanilla and musk. To be honest, I mostly can smell the violet in it. I love this because it's a more mature floral fragrance meaning it's not too sickly-sweet but it also doesn't smell like something your granny would wear. I'm starting to think that this could become the signature scent which I have been on the hunt for for so long - I know I don't need to stick to one scent for life but I love the idea of people associating a scent with me when they smell it. Does anyone else think that? Obviously you can get this in any place that sells perfume such as Boots or a department store.
Do you like Daisy or any of its spin-offs?

DeleteFor some reason I have a weird "relationship" with Daisy - I LOVE how it smells on my friend, I was even going to buy it, but them smelled it by itself... and it was different.... I guess Daisy was perfect fit for my friend, but wasn't for me... or I don't know, it's still mystery to me;-)))
ReplyDeleteI think perfume reacts differently with different people's skin so it won't necessarily smell the same on you as it does on someone else. That's happened to me before and it's so annoying!
